Switch to low cost ETFs

If you are still paying your financial advisor 2% or more per year, you need to wake up! If you are still invested in mutual funds that charge over 1% per year, you need to stop!

There is no need for these charges in today’s market. Over the past five years the number of low cost ETFs has increased significantly. Low cost ETFs are replacements for mutual funds, but are much less expensive. Paying fewer expenses every year will add up to a bigger portfolio for you. Don’t expect your broker to tell you this, but it’s true. Here are a few news articles:

I have recently come across several people who asked me to look at their portfolio because they suspected their account was not performing the way it should be. I wish more people were wise to their portfolio’s contents and performance. Suspect you are overpaying?
